Ayushmann will not be seen in cinemas with another Big B movie
When he was shooting this film on Jallianwala Bagh, since then he has dreamed about it. There were tears in his eyes at that time. After finishing the shooting of the film, he believes that for the character of Udham Singh in this film, nothing other than Vicky Kaushal could be imagined.
Due to the lockdown, no film is being released in theaters across the country. The future is expected to remain similar for some time. Filmmaker Shujit Sarkar's film Gulabo Sitabo is also stuck in the balance due to this emergency situation. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles.
The film was to be released on 17 April this month. However, regarding the future of this film, Shoojit says that it will be decided only after May 3. At the same time, he believes that as a filmmaker he wishes that the film be released in theaters but he is also ready to release the film digitally.
Shoojit Sarkar, who was spending time with his close friends in Kolkata, says, "As a filmmaker, I wish that it would be released in the movie theater but the situation that we have never seen before." I am also ready to release the film on a digital platform if needed. However, we will take any decision only after May 3. At the same time, Shoojit says about his second film Sardar Udham Singh that the shooting of this film is over and its post-production work is still left.
This film is to be released in January 2021 so we are not thinking much about this film. He feels that people will get an amazing experience of this film on the silver screen. When he was shooting this film on Jallianwala Bagh, since then he has dreamed about it. There were tears in his eyes at that time. After finishing the shooting of the film, he believes that for the character of Udham Singh in this film, nothing other than Vicky Kaushal could be imagined.
Regarding the impact of the lockdown, Shoojit believes that this experience is going to have a profound impact on the audience's thinking as well. People's new thinking will bring changes in the way we make and say films. I would be happy to film simple and beautiful stories on screen. But until such a story touches me inside, I am very happy in my Kolkata home. It is worth noting that earlier Amitabh Bachchan's film AB and CD have gone on OTT. There is also talk of another film, Jhuk, to be released directly on OTT itself.
