15 August Movie Release Review
Stree 2 has been released in theatres. The film's paid previews were held on Thursday night and have received a good response. Stree 2 is one of those sequel films of Hindi cinema about which the audience has been extremely curious. Stree 2 lives up to those standards and provides a lot of entertainment to the audience. Read the full review here.
A good sequel is one whose story follows the theme of the original film and when all the characters return, it does not seem that they are returning after many years. Stree 2, the sequel of producer Dinesh Vijan's supernatural universe's first film Stree (2018), fits all these criteria.
Stree 2 Story
In the film Stree, it was written on the walls of the house that O Stree, come tomorrow. Then when Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) frees Chanderi from the fear of Stree, the same Stree becomes the protector of that place. Now after Stree, the shadow of the terror of Sarkate starts hovering over Chanderi.
After bringing Stree under control, the nameplate outside Vicky's house says Chanderi ka Rakshak. Suddenly, girls with modern thinking start disappearing from Chanderi. The people of Chanderi think that she has gone to the city to make her career, but Sarkate is taking her away.
Stree 2 Review
In such a situation, the girl (Shraddha Kapoor) who cut Stree's braid returns again. Vicky is once again given the responsibility of saving Chanderi. Why is Sarkata taking the girls away? What is his enmity with women? You will get the answers to all these questions after watching the film.
Stree 2 screenplay
The screenplay of the previous film was written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Keeping pace with their story, this time writer Niren Bhatt has written the screenplay, story, and dialogues of Stree 2 alone. The story progresses by giving a glimpse of the patriarchal society in conversations and touching upon the problems of men with women living on their own terms.
The biggest strength of the film is its writing because the message does not seem forced. All the questions that will come to your mind while watching the film to connect the previous film and this film, are answered in an entertaining way and it moves forward.
The Sarkata ghost created with the help of technology will remind you of the ghosts of the Ramsay Brothers, but this time the dose of fear is less and that of comedy is more. Stree 2 Director Amar Kaushik's grip on direction is very strong, he does not take any frame lightly. He is the real savior of Stree 2. However, the film becomes loose in some places after the interval. It gets better by the end.
Stree 2 Behind the Scene
The background score sounds loud in some places, but as per the demand of horror films, there is no option other than ignoring it. The good thing is that the ghost of Sarkate does not have any dialogue, he only scares.

Stree 2 Akshay Kumar cameo
Akshay Kumar is the surprise package of this film. Talking about his character would be a spoiler. Since Dinesh is creating a universe of horror films, Varun Dhawan also comes in the avatar of the film Bhediya. His entry does not seem odd at all, because he has been mixed with the story like sugar in water.
Stree 2 Cast Name
As soon as Rajkumar Rao comes on screen wearing the garb of Vicky's character. He easily takes you back to the Vicky of 2018. Abhishek Banerjee's face in the role of Jenna makes you laugh. In some scenes, he has overshadowed the rest of the actors.
Pankaj Tripathi keeps everyone engaged in the role of Rudra Bhaiya. He says something very easily and makes you laugh. Aparshakti Khurana does not have many scenes, but for the time he is on screen, he makes his presence felt.
Stree 2 Songs
There are two songs one after the other at the end of the film. However, after watching them, it does not seem at all what is happening, because in them you start looking for the next story of the horror universe. On exiting the theater, Tamannaah Bhatia's song Aaj Ki Raat... remains in your memory.
