Amar Singh Chamkila was born in 1960 in Punjab. The late singer created a stir with his songs at the age of just 20. In the 70s, Amar Singh had made the record of highest record selling. However, at the age of 27, he said goodbye to this world. On March 8, 1988, Amar Singh Chamkila was shot dead by some unknown assailants. Along with Amar Singh, his wife Amarjot was also murdered.
