Ankita Lokhande Father Last Rite: Ankita Lokhande broke down due to father's departure

Ankita Lokhande, one of the most popular and highest-paid television actresses in India, lost her father Shashikant Lokhande on August 12, 2023. He was 68 years old and had been suffering from a prolonged illness. His last rites were performed on August 13, 2023, at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. Ankita was accompanied by her husband Vicky Jain, who is a businessman and co-owner of the Box Cricket League team Mumbai Tigers. Many celebrities and friends of Ankita from the television industry also visited her home to pay their last respects and condolences to the bereaved family.

Ankita Lokhande’s emotional farewell to her father

Ankita Lokhande, who made her film debut with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in 2019, was seen carrying her father’s mortal remains along with her husband Vicky Jain during the funeral. She broke down several times and was consoled by Vicky, who held her hand and hugged her. Ankita also performed the last rites of her father and gave him a shoulder. She was seen wearing a white salwar suit with a red dupatta, while Vicky wore a white kurta pajama.

Among the celebrities who attended Shashikant Lokhande’s funeral were Shraddha Arya, Arti Singh, Omkar Kapoor, Rajesh Khattar, Kushal Tandon, and others. They were seen consoling Ankita and her mother Vandana Pandis Lokhande, who is a teacher. Ankita Lokhande’s happy married life with Vicky Jain

Ankita Lokhande got married to Vicky Jain on December 14, 2021, in a private ceremony attended by their close friends and family members. The couple had been dating for a few years before tying the knot. Vicky Jain is an industrialist who hails from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. He is also the secretary of Triveni Dental College & Hospital, Raipur, and Birla Open Minds Preschool, Bilaspur.

Ankita Lokhande’s upcoming projects and achievements

Ankita Lokhande, who started her career with the popular TV show Pavitra Rishta in 2009, has come a long way in the entertainment industry. She has won several awards and accolades for her performance as Archana Deshmukh in the show, which also starred Sushant Singh Rajput as her love interest. She has also participated in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur. She has also appeared in two episodes of Ek Thhi Naayka, a horror anthology series.

Ankita Lokhande made her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in 2019, in which she played the role of Jhalkaribai, a warrior and advisor to Rani Lakshmi Bai. She received positive reviews and a nomination for the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut for her performance. She then starred in Baaghi 3 in 2020, opposite Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh. She played the role of Ruchi Nanda, the sister of Shraddha’s character.

Ankita Lokhande is currently working on her next film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, which is based on the life of the freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. She will be playing the lead role opposite Randeep Hooda, who will essay the role of Savarkar. The film is directed by Hooda himself and is expected to release in 2023.
