Randeep Hooda locked himself in jail

A few days ago, Randeep Hooda, while paying tribute to Savarkar, had said that he had locked himself in Kalapani jail to closely experience Savarkar's life for this film. While sharing the photo, Randeep Hooda wrote, 'Today is the death anniversary of one of the greatest sons of India. Who is a leader, fearless freedom fighter, writer, philosopher, and visionary? Swatantraveer Savarkar was such a person whose fierce intelligence and courage so frightened the British that they locked him in this 7 by 11 feet prison of Kalapani for two lifetimes. During the rehearsal of his biopic, Randeep tried to lock himself inside the closet, so that he could feel what Veer Savarkar might have gone through. He said that he couldn't keep himself locked up even for 20 minutes, whereas Veer Savarkar was kept in solitary confinement for 11 years.

Due to his revolutionary behavior, Savarkar also had to bear the oppression of the British. He was punished with black water twice and was beaten badly. However, Savarkar still did not give up and continued his fight.
