Naeem Sayyed popularly known as Junior Mehmood was the son of famous comedian Mehmood. Mehmood Junior acted in many Bollywood movies, he was also a singer and a Marathi film director. Junior Mehmood was born on 15th November 1956. Junior Mehmood's age was 67 years when he died.

Junior Mehmood's father was an engine driver. He has six siblings and was at 3rd number among them. They used to live in a railway quarter in Antop Hill, Wadala. Junior Mehmood's wife's name is unknown. Junior Mehmood's son's name is Hasnain Sayed he was a writer and a music manager.

Junior Mehmood's elder brother was a photographer at a film studio. Due to his brother, Mehmood got into the film industry. Junior Mehmood married twice and with his first wife he had four children and with his second wife, he had two children. Currently, he lives with his second wife in Mumbai.

In 1967, Mehmood Junior made his film debut with the Hindi film Naunihal as "Biloo". In 1968 he played the role of Banne in the film titled Suhaag Raat. He also featured in the Hindi film Ghar Ghar ki Kahani in 1970 as Gopi. 

Fourth-stage cancer in the stomach was diagnosed to Junior Mehmood in November 2023 due to which he also lost so much weight. He also had Jaundice. He is getting treated at his residence. Junior Mehmood only left 40 days of his life said his close friend Salam Kazi to the media. After the news went viral of Junior Mehmood's cancer the famous actor and comedian Johny Lever also visited his house to meet him.

Famous Bollywood actor Jitendra also visits Jr. Mehmood's house to meet him. In an interview given to a news portal, Jitendra said It was very emotional to see him in this condition Mehmood can't even recognize anyone. He couldn't able to even open his eyes he was very much in pain. on the urgent request of Johny Lever Jitendra went to meet Mehmood Junior.
