Sangeeth Sivan Dies at the age of 61
A sad news has come out from the cinema world. Famous director-cinematographer Sangeeth Sivan passed away during treatment in a private hospital. Apart from Malayalam, he also directed many Hindi films.
Renowned director-cinematographer of Malayalam and Hindi cinema Sangeeth Sivan passed away on Wednesday. According to reports, Sangeet died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Information about how he died has not been revealed yet.
Sangeeth Sivan was rich in versatile talent
His second film was Yodha, in which superstar Mohanlal was seen. This film is counted among the great films of Malayalam cinema. Apart from direction and cinematography, he also wrote the scripts of some films. As a director, Bhram was his last Hindi language project. He had moved to Mumbai in the early stages of his career. He was the elder brother of cinematographer Santosh Sivan and producer-director Sivan. Sanjeev had recently made a film named 'Ozuki Ozuki Ozuki'.

Sangeeth did a film appreciation course at Pune Film Institute. He was also greatly influenced by Malayalam filmmakers Padmarajan and Bharathan. Apart from Malayalam, he also directed many Hindi films. Sunny Deol's film Zor, released in 1998, was produced by Sangeet. After this, he directed films like Chura Liya Hai Tumne, Kya Kool Hain Hum, Apna Sapna Money-Money, Ek, and Click. He also directed comedy films like Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Dharmendra were seen in lead roles in the movie.

He breathed his last on Wednesday evening of 8th May. His departure is being considered a big loss for the South and Hindi film industry. Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh has expressed grief over the demise of Sangeet Sivan.
