According to news agency ANI, Maharashtra Cyber has called actress Tamannaah Bhatia for questioning in connection with the illegal streaming of IPL 2023 on the FairPlay app. Viacom had to suffer a loss of crores of rupees in this case. He has been asked to appear before Maharashtra Cyber on April 29.

Sanjay Dutt summoned
Before Tamannaah Bhatia, actor Sanjay Dutt was also summoned in this connection on April 23, but the actor did not appear before him. However, Sanjay Dutt had asked for the date and time to record his statement, and regarding the date of appearance, he had said that he was not in India that day.

The deal is worth thousands of crores
In the year 2022, Viacom 18 acquired the digital rights of IPL for the seasons from 2023 to 2027. According to the report of The Quint, for this, the platform has made a deal worth about Rs 23758 crore. Along with this, the network has also purchased global media rights for WPL for Rs 951 crore.
